Sports Massage
Sports massage is good for working on target muscles and muscle groups. Specific sports will often aggravate specific muscles which can create tightness, pain and knots – I use sports massage to treat muscle tightness, relieve pain and loosen the muscle fascia which surrounds your affected muscles.
Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology tape is used to help support joints and muscles, relieving some of the stresses on your body. It is often used in treating issues relating to poor posture. Correctly applied kinesiology tape allows you to continue to perform day to day tasks and compete in your sport, although this should be used in conjunction with sports massage to properly treat and heal muscular issues.
Ultrasound Therapy
Ultrasound Therapy can be used to help treat current or long-term injuries. Ultrasound uses very high-frequency sound waves to help to repair muscle tissues, ease pain and treat injuries such as bursitis, sprains and tendonitis. This is a popular treatment that has been used for decades and has great benefits alongside massage therapy and exercise rehabilitation.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a treatment used in conjunction with sports massage or on its own (although it displays more benefits when used alongside other treatments). This technique is to help improve function through releasing the myofascial trigger points and to help decrease pain (Gattie, Cleland, & Snodgrass, 2017). Dry needling has many more benefits as found on the dry needling page.
Dry Cupping
Dry cupping therapy is also known as static cupping or retained cupping; this is done by creating a seal with the cups placed onto skin and then extracting some of the air inside the cups. Dry Cupping is a good way to help relax tight muscles and to help reduce pain, dry cupping as a treatment method works the pain gate sytem ellivating pain syptoms efficiently.

Voodoo Flossing
Voodoo flossing is a treatment method which helps to improve the range of movement in joints. The effect of the voodoo floss bands is that it restricts the blood flow to the area on where the floss band has been placed to help increase the movement within the joint. When using the voodoo floss bands, the limited movement and compression change the effect of the muscle fascia which allows the fascia to move more freely and to stretch the fascia around the area of the voodoo floss band (Starrett & Cordoza, 2013).
