Kinesiology taping was first developed by Dr Kenzo Kase, a Japanese chiropractor in the 1970s. The technique is used to alleviate discomfort and helps ease pain by lifting the fascia surrounding the muscles.

The Letafatkar and Mohamamd Golipour Agdam, (2019) study, investigated how beneficial kinesiology taping was for postural control and how it would decrease shoulder pain and increase ROM in gamers. This could also be considered for people who work in office-based jobs.
In the Ghozy et al, (2019) study, it reviewed the effectivness of kinesiology taping (KT) alongside exercises and without exercises. This study showed that KT tape was more effective being used alongside exercises than on its own.
