Further Progression

Abbey is also currently undertaking an Integrated Master’s in Physiotherapy, which allows her to bring the latest evidence-based techniques and knowledge directly into her practice. This ongoing study further enhances the quality and breadth of care she can offer, ensuring clients benefit from a truly comprehensive and up-to-date approach to rehabilitation and wellness. Other Experience

Previously, Abbey worked with Tamar Saracens Rugby Club, where I provided exercise rehabilitation programmes, athletic taping before games, and pre and post-game massages to help prevent injuries. During her time with the team, Abbey gained valuable experience treating various injuries, including calf strains and tears, hamstring issues, AC separations, and many others. In addition, Abbey has contributed to charity work through the NHS and supported participants at relay races, further broadening my experience in sports therapy and injury management.

Testimonials

Abbey has an extraordinary talent! Her knowledge of the anatomy is sound she thoroughly explains what treatment is appropriate and finds the route of my problems rather than just treat the symptoms. My range of movement in my ‘rower’s shoulders’ has improved and her massages are sublime but be prepared for some pressure! I turn to Abbey when I have an injury rather than a physiotherapy and she gives me maintenance exercises. I’m grateful I found her.

Joy

Abbey is the first sports massage therapist I have had. Friends (and Abbey) had told me they can be painful and cause bruising (they were not wrong!) but that is the nature of this type of therapy.
I would highly recommend Abbey – in just one session she sorted my shoulder right out. She is professional, knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. She talks you through what she is doing as she goes and I love how she gets excited when she finds knots to work on, even though I know it’s going to hurt.
I would not hesitate to book another session.

Ranie

Abbey is very professional and friendly. My Husband and I had thorough consultations prior to our massage to understand exactly what we both needed. We had had 3 massages with Abbey now and look forward to the relief you feel after each one. Surprised at how much strength Abbey has behind those healing hands of hers! Thanks Abbey! x

Olivia

Received fantastic sports therapy, recovering from a grade 2 calf tear, 3-4 weeks away from returning to full contact rugby, also discovered tightness in other parts of my legs & set me guidelines & stretches to prevent further injuries.

Joe

Abbey has recently become our sports therapist down at Tamar Saracens RFC, since she has taken the reigns the lads have had various treatments from deep tissue sports massages to ultrasound to strapping and support. She has great knowledge in injury prevention and rehabilitation. She makes the whole experience as comfortable as possible and we’re looking forward to working with her for the up and coming season.

Dan

I am struggling with a sore hip and knee and Abbey gave me an initial assessment to go over posture and my day to day routines. She then went on to give my a massage on my legs. It was painful at the time - but she was brilliant in easing up/stopping when I reached my pain threshold. Now I think the pain was worth it. I noticed my hip and knee hurting considerably less during and after running. Since the massage I have been doing the stretches/exercises that Abbey showed me and I can see an improvement in my alignment. Going forward I look to continue with appointments and my exercises.

I would highly recommend Abbey if you have aches and pains. She talks you through what she is doing which gives you an understanding of how the body works and how you have ended up with those pains in the first place. She is 100% approachable and professional. Get a booking and makes those aches and pains go away!

Amy

Phenomenal treatment. Abbey is exceptionally knowledgeable and professional. After one treatment I felt a marked improvement on a long term injury and she provided essential advice for ongoing stretching and exercises.
Her good humour and irrepressible positivity also went some way to reduce the extraordinary discomfort of some of the deep tissue massage. No pain no gain...

The best sports massage therapy I’ve ever had.

Joey

Cannot recommend Abbey and her service's highly enough.....

She uses the most modern techniques, very knowledgeable and professional.

Seen a massive improvement in my shoulder mobility (following years of failed treatments on a impingement).

Abbey is constantly striving to further her knowledge and offers the latest treatments.

Additional to your appointment. Is an after care package (between sessions) where Abbey schedules a rehabilitation/injury prevention programme or suggested exercises.

Fantastic service.
Wish I had this available to me years ago

Abbey really does have magic healing spirit fingers. I had recently hurt my lower back and was unable to sit down. Abbey saw me pretty quick and told me the problem is actually in my legs. I can’t lie it did hurt but straight after the massage I was able to sit down properly pain free !! I would highly recommend abbey she is amazing.

Gemma

Abbey is absolutely amazing at what she does. She is very skilled, knowledgeable and professional. She always makes me feel completely at ease and works hard to make sure I am pain free. I would recommend anyone to Abbey, not just people who are into sports and exercise but also those who may have any kind of injury or even spend too long sat at a desk. She has even provided me with stretch videos and advice to get me through lockdown until I can get booked in for another massage. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Becky

I was struggling with knee pain which got progressively worse after pregnancy. After an assessment Abbey highlighted a number of areas that were causing it and after only one session the pain is gone and I’ve noticed a huge improvement in strength and stability in my hips, lower back and knees. I honestly can’t recommend her enough. Thank you so much

Katy

I have had 3 sports massages now with Abbey, she has been brilliant every time. I told her my long story of running injuries this year, she listened patiently then tailored my treatment to help me get back to running. Her sports massage is very effective and she has given me some stretches and exercises to do to help. My pain has very nearly gone now and I managed to run a fast 10km this weekend! Thanks so much Abbey!!

Claire
